Here given below are 11 ideas that can help you know how to get 200 dollars fast:
1. Sell Your Unused Stuff
One of the quickest ways to make money is to sell any unused stuff sitting around your house or apartment. Things like old clothes, unused appliances, and out-of-style jewelry can all be sold to make some extra cash!
Look around your house and dig through the closets, and you’re bound to find something of value that you can list for quick cash. Craigslist has always been the go-to resource for selling your unwanted stuff, but recently Facebook Marketplace has started to dominate this market.
Here are some of the best platforms to sell your stuff on:
- eBay
- Poshmark
- Craigslist
- Facebook Marketplace
- Gazelle
- Letgo
- Amazon
- Or, do an old-fashioned garage sale
2. Freelance on Upwork (or other site)
Sites like Upwork and Udemy have made it easy for people to turn their skill sets into money-making side hustles. Making money online has never been easier.
Whether you have experience with graphic design, writing, proofreading, social media, teaching Spanish, or any other service that can be offered online, setting up a freelance profile on Upwork is the first step to profit off it.

3. Do Odd Jobs
Along the same lines as freelancing, there are many other “odd jobs” you can do to make extra money fast. These jobs don’t require as specific of a digital skillset.
Usually, they simply require the motivation to get started.
Here are a few examples:
- Get paid to walk dogs through Rover.com
- Babysit through Care.com to make extra cash (pet sitting is an option too!)
- Get paid for helping someone move using Dolly.com
- Earn cash delivering food and other items through Doordash or Postmates.
- Check out a wide variety of jobs on Taskrabbit!
4. Take Surveys and Use Cashback Apps
Another idea that is good for earning $10 or $20 fast is taking online surveys. Companies are always conducting market research and looking for consumer opinions, like yours!
Plus, after a few weeks or months, you can easily make $200 or more by using the great survey site below.
Here are some of the best survey sites and online survey companies to start making money:
- Swagbucks
- Survey Junkie
- Opinion Outpost
- Rakuten (formerly Ebates)
- Ibotta
5. Rent out a Room or Car
Some of the best side hustles involve taking advantage of existing assets, like cars, spare rooms, and space in general. Typically, you can make a lot of money while not investing a lot of time.
Airbnb, as I’m sure you know, is an online marketplace for lodging. If you have a spare room (or even a couch), you could be renting it out to earn extra cash.
Turo is like Airbnb for cars. At least, that’s how I imagined the founders pitched it to potential investors.
Anyway, you can use Turo to rent out your car, as Hertz would, and make money off an asset that loses value every day.
6. Take an Hourly Gig
Next on the list is the time-honored tradition of trading your time for money. You don’t have to have any special skills, but if you do it might make you more marketable, or allow you to get a greater hourly rate.
There are plenty of places to look for a day labor gig, such as Craigslist or TaskRabbit. People need help with all kinds of things like moving, yard maintenance, assembling furniture, etc.
We recently needed to move a refrigerator from one of our rental properties to another, but don’t have a truck. I got a quote for over $100 just to move that one thing from Point A to Point B 5 miles away!
7. Look for Sites That Pay You a Sign-Up Bonus
There are so many cash-back apps and other sites out there that pay you to sign up it can make your head spin. But many offer you $5-$20 or more just for creating an account.
Sorting through the clutter can be difficult, but there are some legitimately useful apps out there that ALSO pay you money just to sign up!
One of my favorites is Personal Capital – they offer a $20 bonus just for signing up. Personal Capital is a great app for tracking your expenses as well as your investments all in one place. I use it myself to keep all my finances in one place.
Another one of my favorites is Swagbucks, which offers a $5 sign-up bonus. You can continue to earn points on a regular basis by taking surveys, watching videos, or even browsing online.
8. Sharing Opinion Online
Survey sites probably aren’t going to make you $200 in a single day (don’t listen to anyone who says they will). But if you have some spare time here and there, they can be a good way to earn a few extra dollars a day.
If you make it a regular habit, you could easily make $50-100 a month without much time invested. This is one of those activities I do sitting in front of the TV or standing in the checkout line.
My absolute favorite site is Survey Junkie. They always have new surveys available and they payout regularly. Just filling out your profile after signing up will earn you a few bucks.
9. Become a Virtual Assistant
Almost anything can be done online these days. And business owners need all the help they can get. If you have a skill (or even if you don’t), becoming a virtual assistant is a great way to earn extra cash. You can offer your services as an editor, social media manager, online marketer, or even just email management.

By working just a few hours a week, you can easily make $200. And if you wanted to ramp it up, I know many people who quit their jobs to become virtual assistants full-time!
As with anything, the more you niche down, the more you can make per hour. For example, if you like numbers and are detail-oriented, you can learn to become a bookkeeper and make $60-100 per hour!
10. Investment in Real Estate
Real estate investing is what got me started on the path toward financial independence. While you won’t go from zero to $200 immediately, if you have some time to build your portfolio, it is definitely possible to make $200 in a day (or more) with real estate investing.
We invest in a few different ways:
- rental properties
- flipping
- passive investments like Fundrise and Groundfloor
With rental properties, most of our income comes at the beginning of the month. With our passive investments, we usually get a cash dividend quarterly.
If you’re interested in investing in real estate without the hassle of owning property, two platforms I recommend are Fundrise and Groundfloor.
11. Become an InstaCart
If you live in the United States, you must have heard about Instacart!
It is actually a delivery service that does the whole work of grocery shopping for its customers and delivers the order right in front of their door without them leaving the house.
While it is a great service for people who are too busy to go grocery shopping, it is actually a great opportunity for you because you can actually make a good amount of money working as a personal grocery shopper for instacart.
As a shopper working with Instacart, you can make anywhere around $15 an hour.
Useful tips Thanks!
